Be Different

I hope anyone who reads this, knows by now how much I completely adore my family.

I love my children beyond words.

I treasure my parents and in-laws.

And my siblings.....

well.....

we are connected in ways that are hard for me to explain.

I don't just love them.
And I don't just adore them.

But, I actually really like them.

Simply put, I think they are some of the coolest people that walk this planet.

And I beg for anyone to challenge me.

...you will lose.

They are also some of the strangest and most wonderfully unique people that walk this planet.
And they aren't afraid to be so.

I think that's why I think they are so very awesome.

We have our own private family website, which I LOVE.
And every once in a while, something is posted that is entirely too tempting not to share.

And that leads me to this beauty.

HA! HA! HA!

Oh Britney.
Oh.....your freakishly weird eyeballs.

wow

Let me tell you why I love this picture so much.
It's also why I love Britney so much.

We live in a world where there is constant pressure to 'measure up', to 'fit the mold', to act a certain way, to look a certain way, etc.

But in that same world are people who aren't afraid to be different.
They have courage to stand on their own.
To be themselves.

They seem to have a magical blend of conforming when required, while remaining true to who they really are.

I believe that takes courage.
It takes confidence.
It takes a willingness to be different, to laugh at yourself and to let others see you in that light as well.
But most importantly it takes someone who knows who they are.

And that is Britney.

She will argue that with me, but I will win that argument too!

And she's not the only sibling I have who is like that.
She just happens to be the one who posted that photo!

(I love you Britney. Really. I do.)

The best thing about people like Britney, is that when they are willing to be themselves,
it gives the people around them the same courage.

We all need a Britney.

Britney, you embrace your "you"ness beautifully.

And it keeps me laughing.

Thank you for that!

The Other Half of My Brain

Today I'm feeling very grateful for the other half of my brain.
The half that works really well on a regular basis.

Unfortunately it isn't in my head.....
it's in hers.

Meet my friend Tricia.
She really is the functioning part of my brain and today I'm very grateful for her.

There are many days when I feel like this.

HAHAHA!
Come on, mothers.
You know it's true!

Tricia knows me well enough to know this.

So on a regular basis, Tricia saves me.

I will get a text reminding me of field trips, reminders to set my clock back, reminders that school is out, reminders about meetings, activities at the school, church meetings, reminders on great deals that I forgot about 2 minutes after the FIRST time she told me, reminders to put my laundry in the dryer, and even reminders about what my plans for the day are.....because she knows I've already forgotten.

I'll get reminders to get dressed, to brush my teeth, and
to.....just kidding.
There ARE SOME things I can manage to remember on my own.
I do have HALF a brain, remember?

Tricia really is my lifesaver.
I don't think I could survive without her.

When she thinks about me, I'm sure there are many times when she feels like this:

But she always treats me like this:

HAHAHA!

Oh.....the GLORIOUS GUT GIGGLE begins as it sinks in how much trouble I'm in.
(TRICIA: Just remember that it's a COMPLIMENT!)

hee hee hee

I'm thankful to have a friend like her.
I'm grateful for her never-ending patience.
I'm grateful for the fact that she loves me so much, that she WANTS to help me succeed.

We all need friends like Tricia.

For all you overwhelmed and forgetful mothers,
I would share her with you if I could.

But, I'm just too selfish.
:)
hee hee hee

Thank you Tricia.

Thank you for loving me.
Thank you for helping me.
Thank you for encouraging me and for cheering me on.

Today, my heart is full of gratitude for you.

I love you.

The Good Ol' South!

As most of you know, I was not raised in the south. I am actually from Laramie, Wyoming (shout out to all my Laramie friends!) and the Seattle, Washington area (another big shout out!!) I am a western girl through and through. As you can imagine, moving to a small town in Tennessee was quite the cultural shock!

But, thanks to Ricky's wonderful Southern family and some really special Southern friends,
it has been quite the happy adventure.
Especially because of these two.

I love my in-laws.
They are Southern, through and through.
And it makes them so darn lovable.

Although there are similarities anywhere you go, there are some very distinct differences in the South.
I have been making notes of these things since living here. It's been a great experience living here and I am in love with so many things about the South. I have been wanting to write this all down for some time, so I thought now would be a good time!

I don't know how to write this creatively so I'm going to do a fun little bullet list. If you are one of my favorite Southern friends,
THANK YOU for making my life here so very happy.
You truly are the best!

My tribute to the South
  • You are a "sweetie", "darlin" or "honey" to everyone. And I mean EVERYONE.
  • Everyone is always "fixin" to do something. Fixin' to tell you something, fixin' to leave, fixin' to eat some corn casserole, etc. (I still haven't acquired a taste for corn casserole. Every vegetable here has a casserole.)
  • Ain't and Y'all is not just something you THINK people in the South say all the time. THEY REALLY DO.
  • BLESS YOUR HEART! You cannot visit the south for even a day without hearing this. People use this to make it possible to say ANYTHING they want in a gentle way. For example....."Wow. That's an ugly baby.....bless your heart."  .....you get the idea. It's one of my favorite Southern sayings. Who doesn't want to hear that all the time?
  • A straw is called a sissy stick.
  • Every child says "yes m'am" or "no sir". Good old fashioned manners are alive and kickin' and I LOVE IT!
  • Yonder: "I'm gonna go over yonder".
  • Little things are "teeniny" things. I love that word. Teeniny. Say it enough and it will stick.
  • "I'll bet ya a nickle to a donut." ...don't ask. I still don't get it. My mother-in-law says it and it's still confusing.
  • Everyone's out of pocket at some point. "I'll be out of pocket fer a while, so I'll call you later."
  • GET 'ER DONE! .....seriously. How can you not LOVE this saying?
  • DOG = DAWWG   There are no dogs in the south. Only DAWWGS.
  • "That dawwg don't bark." Something's not quite right with him. hahaha!
  • "I ain't got a dawwg in this fight": when you don't want to be part of a discussion.
  • "I'm gonna see a old man about a dawwg": If one of my kids ask Big Daddy where he's going or what he's doing, this is what he says. It makes them crazy. Basically...it's none of your business.
  • WASHING = WARSHING
  • A grocery cart is a BUGGY.
  • Drink of choice - sweet tea.
  • Every kind of soda/pop is called COKE. It's very confusing.
  • Don't want a broken down tv? Stick it out by the side of road. Within an hour, it will be gone.
  • People in the South are still very religious. On Sundays every church parking lot in town is full. I love this!!
  • The mullett is still around! It's especially cute when you see it on a young child.
  • Football is a religion. Literally. It's a HUGE deal. The whole town REALLY does go to the high school football games on the weekend. Tailgate parties, parades and everything.
  • Cook WITHOUT bacon grease? UNHEARD OF!
  • True story: I was at the grocery store a few weeks back and as I was checking out, I had a conversation with the cashier. He was saying that his mom's name is Tennessee and she named her daughters Georgia and Carolina. They in turn named their daughters Savannah, and Charlotte and Raleigh. You have to love that.
  • They are serious about their hunting and fishing. Camouflage EVERYWHERE. And I actually love it. My nephew here loves hunting, so when I see camouflage, I think of him.
  • Beans. Any kind of bean. Northern beans, pinto beans, etc. They love beans. At least Big Daddy and his family do.
  • Turnip greens.....well.....any kind of greens, grits, corn bread, biscuits & gravy...mmm
.....well, everything but the greens. blech!
  • Tater tots = tater barrels
  • They have the best barbecue EVER!
  • Pacifiers are storm plugs or foolers.
  • People in the South wave to everyone. They are friendly and warm people.
  • We don't have fireflies.....we 'got' lightnin' bugs.

I can't tell you how much I LOVE the South. The people are amazing. It's hard to sum it all up, because there's so much good to say. Southerners are loyal, compassionate and very kind. They are helpful and are genuinely concerned about others. They actually let you merge in traffic!! Their families are their top priority, they love God and their country. And they make no apologies for these priorities. In fact, they are VERY proud of it. They aren't ashamed of who they are, and I find great strength in that. In many ways I feel like I've stepped back in time to a place where old-fashioned values still matter, where the majority of people take pride in being good and in doing what's right. I love so many things about the South. It's a charming and wonderful place to be and I love that I'm here! I'm also grateful that my kids are being raised in a place that they can be proud of.

My Kindness of the Day?

I called the doctor's office and the cute little receptionist Charlotte answered the phone.
This was our conversation.

"Hi Charlotte, this is Veronica Blaylock."
Then she responded in an excited tone,
"Well, HELLO DARLIN'!"

How can that NOT make you feel better about life?
So sweet.
So kind.
So small.
and
So big.

I'm so grateful for the SOUTH!

My Awesome Bubble!

I saw this picture and fell in love.

It's so easy to let the struggles of life mess with
our "awesome bubble".

For me, it's not necessarily the big things, but the little daily things that can mess with you.

There are mornings when I get out of bed and feel....."ugh."

And then there are mornings when I feel like,
"I'VE GOT THIS!"

Today is one of those days.
I am completely in my awesome bubble.

Life is good.

Nothin's gonna get this girl down!

I've got things to DO!
People to SEE!
Places to GO!

Don't even think about messin' with my awesome bubble.

Speaking of awesome,
I'm off to Salt Lake for the marriage of these two little cuties!
I love my nephew!

My awesome bubble just keeps getting better!

See you when I get back!

It's a Sassy Pants Kinda Day!

OH YEAH!

I LOVE IT!
And I DO have my sassy pants on today!
Bring it on world!
Sometimes you just need to have that kind of day.

Speaking of sassy pants...
Around here, we call HER little Miss Sassy Pants.
I always ask her, "Well, Miss Lucy Lu-Lu...do you have your sassy pants on today?"
And she replies, "YES M'AM!"

You can see it...right?

She's hilarious.

Our little Lucy has come at the very end of our crazy bunch.
She is sassy, confident and absolutely sweet.
She keeps us laughing, and keeps us loving.

It's great to have a "sassy pants" kind of day,
but even better than that is having a
funny "sassy pants" kind of girl.
She keeps life sassy.
And in our home, she is a treasure to us all.

GO ON!
Get your own sassy pants on!

The Dentist.....Gone Horribly Wrong.

Many who know me, know how much I LOVE going to the dentist.

not.

I. Hate. It.

I feel the anxiety building for days.

As a child, I had some rough experiences, and some bad zingers!
You know the ones.
The ones that shock you to your toes.
And then you cry.

Finally I learned the beauty of gas at the dentist office.
Such joy.
Such peaceful, wonderful joy.

Until the numbing medicine wore off and I got another zinger.

As I got older, I was told that I was metabolizing the numbing medicine too quickly.

So every time they lovingly numbed the spot, it ALWAYS wore off right in the middle of the drilling!

Well, recently I went to the dentist.

Being older and wiser, I asked my dentist to PLEASE make sure that he REALLY numbed it good.

I basically begged.

I asked him for the good stuff.
The REALLY good stuff that I KNEW he had.

This time, my amazing, wonderful and very gentle dentist told me he used the strongest stuff there was.

.... and ....

ZING

It still wore off.

He was shocked.
I was not amused.

So he got that bad-boy numbing stuff out again and I could tell he was REALLY saturating my poor gums with it.

Needless to say, it worked really well.

A little too well.

Complete paralysis on one side.

Complete.
From the top of my head and down into my neck.
For hours.

MANY hours.

HAHAHAHA!!

If you cover one half of my face at different times, you will see two very different emotions!
Pure joy.....and pure shock.
So funny...and a bit disturbing.

hahaha!

And if that's not entertaining enough, I've decided to swallow all my pride and attach a short video that Hannah took.
I really think the laughing gas or numbing stuff made me a little high or something.
Sorry it's sideways. :)

So.....
currently I LOVE my dentist.

LOVE him.

No zingers after my lovely numbing cocktail.
Not a single one.

Masked Men

We love Superheroes in our home.

Especially Luke.
Anything with a mask or a costume...he loves.

He's been the master of the masks and costumes for a while now.

Until...

I went upstairs and to my wonder and surprise, I found...

these masked men.

HAHAHAHA!!

There sat my three boys and two fantastic missionaries.

Sitting there.

Playing Monopoly Deal.

...in masks.

I know what you're thinking.
A little strange...

Right?

RIGHT!
Strange...
but mostly hilarious!

On a serious note, I love these missionaries.
I love that they are great young men.
I love that they are great examples to my boys.
And I love that they are doing something great with their lives.

MY BOYS?
Well, they are great too.
They are kind.
They are giving.
They are serious when they need to be.
And they completely love each other.

I love that all 5 of these masked men are confident.
I love that they are who they are...and they don't apologize for it.
I love that they can find joy in simple things.
And I love that they made me smile.

Walking into that bedroom will always be a great memory.

A Happy Heart: Let's Celebrate!

I love holidays.
I love any reason to celebrate ANYTHING.
It makes me so happy.

Recently I found the greatest thing!
It's a dream for anyone who loves to celebrate.
It's a website that lists all the funny holidays you can celebrate with your family.

You can find it here.

I looked at it yesterday, and it was National Pig-in-a-Blanket Day.

HAHAHAHA!

How funny is that?

So, we had pigs-in-a-blanket for dinner.

And how can you eat pigs-in-a-blanket without looking like little piggies?

They are the best little sports around.
They all wrapped up in blankets and ate their dinner.

Oh.....so funny.

So, for anyone who's thinking I'm the ideal mother, just remember that I dressed my kids up as pigs, wrapped them in blankets and made them eat on the floor.....on paper plates. They DID have grapes though, so I'm not feeling so bad.

A model mother.

hahahaha!

If you're interested, tomorrow is:
Hug-a-Friend Day
National Pretzel Day
and
Take Your Daughter to Work Day

Today, having new fun things to celebrate, makes my heart happy.

A Happy Heart: Ricky defending his life

I know posts are more fun when there are pictures, but I just couldn't get a picture for this one!

Ricky is a lot of things. He's funny, he's tender-hearted, he's a hard worker, he's compassionate, and he's not afraid of handling tough icky things. He's a tough cookie. When I start worrying about the pressures of life, he always tells me, "Don't worry about it. I'll take care of it."

And somehow I always believe him.

He's just wonderful.

One of my other favorite things about him?

He's easy to scare.
heeheeheeheeheeheehee
(evil, EVIL laugh)

Well, last night, as I went to bed, I headed for the bathroom to brush my teeth. But, alas, Ricky had beat me to it.

So, I waited.

But, I decided a sneak attack would be a fun way to wait.

HAHAHA!
Oh...it makes me happy just thinking about it again.

So, I waited.
When he opened the door, I said, 'boo'.

Not "BOO!!!!!" or "BOO!",

Just 'boo'.

And the best thing about Ricky is that is all it takes.

And he JUMPS, gets this WILD look on his face, his fist raises and he comes at me, LITERALLY ready to defend his life.

Ahhh...HAHAHAHAHA!!

I wish I could paint a better mental picture of this. My new goal is to get a picture of this. It makes me laugh so hard.

He's hilarious.

He makes me laugh.

And that makes my heart happy.

I Love...My Ninja Warrior

Today I Love My Ninja Warrior

See this face?
Isn't it a sweet little angelic face?

He really is the cutest little thing.
But, take one more look at that face.

Because at some point during the night,
he becomes this.....

Our own personal ninja warrior.

I never thought I'd be a mom who had kids sleeping in her bed with her. But at some point during the night, Luke stealthily makes his way downstairs and climbs in my bed. I would correct it and take him back to his bed.....if only I heard him or felt him get in bed. Most times on those mornings, you can find him with his legs all over Ricky, or sometimes even laying on top of his head. He's a CRAZY sleeper. I just usually sleep through it.

Well, very early this morning, I was shown just what a powerful ninja warrior he is.

I awoke to Luke talking in his sleep.
He was making all sorts of funny sounds.
He was having a sweet little conversation with Lucy.

Then, he said, "Come on Lucy! I'll get him!"

And with his best ninja skills,
he kicked a mighty kick.

Right into my face.

I laughed and then realized how much my cheek was hurting!

So, today I love that when my little ninja warrior wakes up,
he'll be back to this.

My sweet little angelic Luke.
No more karate chops.

Just my bruised little cheek.

I love him.

May the force be with you!

In a Galaxy Far, Far Away...

There's a little boy in our home who absolutely loves Star Wars. ANYTHING Star Wars. I believe he came out of the womb loving Star Wars.

As a baby he heard, "Luke, I'm am your father" more times than I can tell you. And having older brothers, he learned the art of fighting with a light saber at a very early age. When he was two years old, he decided his name was Anakin. I would call to him, "Luke!"..."Luuuke!". He would ignore me. But if I said "Anakin" he would immediately turn around and say, "What Mommy?" If someone said his name, he would quickly correct them and say, "No, I Anakin." And of course, we all lovingly played along.

Although he loved the name Anakin, his true love was Yoda.

Everything has always been about Yoda.

But, the funniest part about living with a dreamy little boy who loves Star Wars is the fact that he thinks he has the "force". We have a van with an automatic door and he thinks he can open the door using the force. Here he is at 3 years old.

He would concentrate really hard...

Being a good mommy, I would then secretly push the button, and as soon as the door opened, he would yell, "I DID IT!!"
Hilarious? YES! Adorable? Absolutely!

The funniest part today is that at the ripe old age of 5 years old...

he still thinks he has the force.

I know...I really should tell him. But, I can't bring myself to crush his simple, childlike belief in himself. He thinks he's something special!

Just look at his body language! He's so proud of himself that the door opened!

So, for now, in the Blaylock galaxy, we have our own really special Jedi. His name is Luke, but he will answer to Anakin.

He thinks he's something special...and I couldn't agree more.

Mallorie...one of my first.

Introducing Boo Boo!

OK...so she wasn't REALLY one of my first, but she is my baby sister. I am third oldest of 10...and she was number 10. So, as she was growing up, I felt like a second mom in many ways. I can't tell you how excited I am to do a post just about Mallorie. We have affectionately called her BooBoo since she was very little.

Why do a post on BooBoo? Well...she will absolutely die...and then she may actually be tempted to buy a plane ticket to Tennessee to come kill me.  :)  (BooBoo...just remember it's all because I adore you!) But, LOOK AT HER! She's beautiful, incredibly smart, VERY talented, has a beautiful singing voice, one of the FUNNIEST people I have ever known, is compassionate, very loving, the best auntie that ever walked the earth, and is currently an OB/GYN in Salt Lake City, UTAH (come on Utah people!).

Get it? BooBoo...our cute little doctor! Now we call her Dr. BooBoo! HAHAHA! I love it!

oh.

Did i mention that she's single?
(the gut giggles begin as I realize how much trouble I'm in right now)

In all seriousness, this post is more than a shameless effort to let the world know about my darling and amazing sister (you know she's single...right?). Mallorie came into our family as number 10, and made our family complete. My mom struggled with her last pregnancies, so I'm glad that my parents decided to ignore the doctors and have number 10!  She was the perfect way to wrap it all up. She is so very important to each one of us and we all have our own special relationship with her. She has loved each one of us and has made efforts to be involved in all of our lives. I thought it would be fun to publicly let her know how very much I love her.
(You have to admit that at this point you think she's darling...right?)

One of the greatest things about her is her sense of humor.
Don't believe me? READ ON!

BooBoo's Blind Date Adventures in her own words

OOPSIE POOPSIE
Lest you think my life consists only of work, let me share a story from the other side of my life: dating. Now you can think that my life consists only of work and dating. And you'd be close to right. Continuing my journey through Singledom at the ripe old age of 29 seems to create more than ample opportunity to talk about dating with everyone with whom I come into contact...and I do mean everyone. It usually goes something like this:

Mallorie are you dating anyone?

Nope.

What?! Why not? You're sweet, I bet the guys are just knocking down your door.

Nope.

Really?! That's so weeeeiiird! I'm going to talk to my sister's husband's next-door-neighbor's great aunt to see if she knows any nice single men. There must be someone out there for you.

Oh really? You don't have to do that, but that's so sweet of you! Thank you so much!

Oh no it's no problem really! I think I saw a man walking past her house the other day. I don't know how old he is, or what he's doing with his life, or if he's nice, but I didn't see a wedding ring--you guys would make such a perfect couple. I'll see if she can track him down and set you two up!

Oh wow. That's very thoughtful of you. Thanks so much.

Then, a few days later I get a random number on my cell phone and I put on my nice charming phone voice, "hello?" And thus, the blind date experience begins.

A little while ago I had two dates in one weekend. Don't get too excited--this is a very rare occurrence for me, but there you have it. First up we have Frank planned for Friday night. Frank and I had talked on the phone briefly but we didn't talk much about what he looked like. Frank and I made arrangements for him to call when he got to the parking lot and I would just come down and meet him there. I've done this before with other blind dates and usually when I walk out the door, there's a man standing next to his car. I'm pretty sure that's the universal sign for "I'm your blind date come to pick you up and I've been waiting here awkwardly for the past ten minutes while you took your sweet time to come down." That's part one of the story. Hold on to that whilst I paint another picture for you.

Next up we have Larry. Earlier that week, I had run into Larry when I was leaving for work. Larry lives in my apartment building and the parking spaces we've been assigned are right next to each other, so we've met briefly in the past and we occasionally see other coming and going. Usually we exchange a few brief hellos and polite chatter then move on our ways. This time however, he asked for my number and we made plans to go out that Saturday. Now remember those names. It's important. Frank-Friday night blind date. Larry-Saturday guy in my apartment building blind date.

It is now Friday night. My phone rings and it's Frank, "Hey Mallorie I'm just downstairs in the visitor parking" "Ok great, I'll be right down." Fatal mistake #1: I should have asked if he planned on positioning himself in the universal blind date position. But I didn't ask. I come down the stairs and open the door into the visitor parking area and am greeted by two elderly women bustling through the doorway with all their latest purchases, so I smile and politely hold the door for them, while simultaneously scanning the parking lot for the single man next to his car. No single man next to his car. Here's where it gets awkward, but keep in mind it all happens very quickly. I'm trying to scan quickly so I don't look like a total dummy just wandering lost around the very small parking lot. I then notice a black car parked 3 cars down still running with a guy inside and I think, well, maybe he didn't see me come out so he wasn't ready for the universal sign yet. I walk slowly over trying to catch his attention to see if he'll recognize a potential fellow blind dater and actually get out of the car and make the sign like he's supposed to. I'm edging nearer to the passenger side window and finally I catch his attention. He raises his head and gives me a "hey what's up" nod. Nice. So I'm going out with a guy who not only doesn't know the blind date sign, but also isn't going to acknowledge me--a total stranger he's about to take to dinner--with more than a nod. Nice. But he did acknowledge, and there's no other man around, so he must be my blind date. I reach for the door handle to let myself into the car, and as I do so I see the passenger side window rolling down as if this person wants to just chat casually with me and not, in fact, take me on a date. But don't worry dear Reader, I wasn't so easily swayed by this strange behavior as some weaker women may have been--I just kept right on reaching for that door handle to let myself into the car.

The next part, if it were to appear in a movie, would happen in slow motion.
I begin to think,
hmm, this car kind of looks familiar...
(grasping the door handle)
Why would I recognize this car? Where have I seen it before?
(Pulling open the door and seeing the window being rolled down)
Why is he rolling down his window instead of getting out to come introduce himself and open my door?
(Opening the door wider and gesturing as if I'm going to climb into the car by turning my body just slightly so that I could slide my bum onto the seat)
It's funny but this car looks a lot like...
(freezing then very quickly changing the direction of my bum so as to look like I was not getting into the car, but simply standing next to the car)...
...this car looks a lot like...
"Oh! Hi Larry! uhh...how's it going?"
It looked like Larry's car (my date for the next night, you remember), because it was, in fact, Larry's car with, that's right, Larry inside.

The conversation that followed I cannot fully describe, either because it's one of those few times when you really had to be there, or because it's so embarrassing that I just can't bring myself to actually print it publicly. But essentially it consisted of a very shocked Larry trying to figure out what I was doing getting into his car, and a very shocked Mallorie trying to smoothly act like it was intentional. You know how smooth I am.

Turns out Frank was parked around the corner. Awesome. Way to go Frank.

Remind me to avoid blind dates in the future. Or to at least ask what kind of car they drive. And tell Larry to stop parking in the visitor parking.
HAHAHA!! I told you she was funny!
Want to add to her blind date adventures? Just let me know! :)

So...BooBoo...
(this is for her, but the rest of you can just join along)

I LOVE YOU!

I love that you have had enough faith to follow the promptings that you have felt over the years. I love that you have the strength to do what has felt like the impossible on some days. I love that you are with families as they go through the sacred experience of bringing a child into this world. I love that you have a compassionate heart.  I love that you have chosen to be a good person. I love that you are virtuous and that you strive each and every day to be who Heavenly Father wants you to be. I love that you want the things out of life that are most important (they are coming!!). I love that you know how to laugh, that you can find joy in the difficult things and that you share your humor with the rest of us. Most of all, I love that you are my friend. I love that I get to share my life with you. I love that you have taught me more in this life than I will ever hope to teach you as an older sister. And I love that I get to sit by and continue to cheer you on as you create a wonderful life for yourself.

She's darling in every possible way.
